My background is news and editorial photography. I studied Professional Photography at Wellington Polytechnic in 1990.
Starting off in 1992 I worked as a staff news photographer for eight years. I started freelancing in 2000 for national magazines and newspapers including The New Zealand Herald, Herald On Sunday and Gettyimages. I also shoot creative projects for commercial applications.
Recent developments in camera equipment and software lead me down the path of creative video and filming. I began shooting editorial video in 2009 which has developed into my latest role offering creative motion for web and TV advertising and editorial work.
The combination of photography, video and aerial technology has also put me in a unique position to offer aerial filming and other industrial applications- building, flying and servicing UAV’s or drones as there more commonly known.
I’m currently a Senior Staff Visual Journalist with Stuff. I shoot pictures and video across their print publications and digital products.
